Studying Sucks . . . Waiting for NBA Season

I’m taking a break from studying right now.  FYI, studying sucks.  FYI, I will say that many more times for the next two years.  It’s getting harder to blog now that classes are at full speed.  We have 1-2 exams every week.  You may think it’s bad, but compared to last semester where we had 2-3 exams each week, its a bit better.

Right now, I’m looking forward to the start of the 2008-2009 NBA season.  If you haven’t noticed, I’m a big NBA fan.  I can name you the starting lineup on most teams and the results of each playoff series.  This season should be intense because of all the possible storylines.  For example.

1.  Will there be a Lakers-Celtics rematch?  With Bynum healthy, will LA get to the finals again and will they be able to beat the Celtics?

2.  The Old West vs the New West Side.  I consider the Spurs, Phoenix, and Dallas as the flags of the elite older teams.  Then you have the young guns in Utah, Hornets, and Lakers.  Who’s gonna take the Western title?

3. Is the East beast or still least?  The Celtics are the defending champs.  The Cavs are good (only with Lebron).  The 76ers are a “watch out” team as they have Elton Brand alongside Andre Igaodala.  This gives Igadala space to shoot or slash.  I’m picking the Heat as the most improved team and probably vying for the number 3 or 4 spot in the Eastern playoffs.  It’s basically Wade, Marion, and Beasley.  That’s not much worse than Wade + Shaq when the Heat won the title.

4.  Will the refereeing be better or at least cleaner?
I have to get back to studying.
